A former Texas middle school teacher is accused of having sexual contact with a 16-year-old she met at church.

Nicole Marie-Faires Andrews, 31, was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexual assault of a child and improper relationship between educator/student, records show. Both charges are second-degree felonies.

An arrest affidavit viewed by the Austin-American statesman accuses Andrews of having "sexual contact" with the high school student 11 to 12 times as well as sending topless photos to the minor.

The document also detailed the improper relationship began at a church the Austin area teacher attended. According to Fox News, Andrews volunteered at the church as a youth administrator.

If convicted, Andrews may serve between 2 to 20 years in prison for each charge.
